long week end à Lisbonne

What a wonderful place!
We rented an apartment for four nights with our six year old son and it was just wonderful. It was very well appointed, in a super location with a truly amazing view. We opted to have breakfast at the B&B and the food was delicious, especially the french toast, yum! The hosts were always friendly and welcoming and we would highly recommend staying here whilst in Lisbon. We hope to return. Michelle, Charlie and Harry,Edinburgh

Outstanding
Believe us this is a gem! A beautifully renovated and furnished B&B just near Santa Caterina's miradouro.
Breakfast is superb with most of the cakes personally baked by the owners (they had great salame al cioccolato) and while we sipped our coffee our hosts went to great lengths in helping with the planning of our day. They had maps, bus numbers for the most sought-after destinations all laid out for us, so we just had to ask. English, German, French and even a little Italian are spoken fluently.
Our room was spacious, air conditioned, cleaned every day and tastefully furnished. WIFI is available free of charge and there was also a computer shouldn't we had one.

Great Location and Feels Like Home
From day one when making the reservation I knew that the owners and staff of Casa do Bairro were top notch. Vasco, Alex, Victor and the rest of the crew make you feel at home in their comfortable, well decorated place. They are there to help with all arrangements, prepare a wonderful breakfast, and create an environment that is caring and comfortable. They make this place quite special. Other factors include a central location so that you can walk almost anywhere in Lisbon, a comfortable roof top terrace ideal for a glass of wine afternoons or evenings, and WI-FI. This is the place to stay while in Lisbon.

This B&B is a real treasure
Vasco, Alex, Joao and Viktor are wonderful hosts with a wide knowledge of the city and plenty of ideas for daily activities to suit all ages and physical capabilities. The food is excellent, the accommodation spotless. Since the house is in an old part of the city, it is a good idea to take advantage of the public transit system and only rent a car when you travel elsewhere in Portugal. If you don't speak Portuguese don't worry, the hosts are accomplished linguists and converse freely in many languages. This B&B is superb and we would definitely return. “What a find in Lisbon!”
My husband and I were traveling with a friend, and we booked the Suite Tejo (two bedrooms with a shared bath) for three nights. The hosts contacted us in advance to determine our likely arrival time, provided detailed instructions on how to get there via taxi, and were very responsive to our e-mail inquiries (including a recommendation as to where we should pick up our rental car, when ready to leave Lisbon). We were warmly welcomed to this modern, beautifully appointed B&B and encouraged to explore the neighborhood. Many good restaurants, public transit, convenient ATMs, and other attractions within just a few blocks. Great breakfast (orange juice was fresh squeezed and the best I've ever had, plus breads, homemade fruit preserves, fresh fruit, cheese, meat, and much more), free Internet access in a common sitting room to check e-mail, and friendly hosts always available, but not obtrusive. Would stay here again, in a second!

Perfect!
We were all delighted with every aspect of this wonderful place - from the artwork to the home-made jams and from the warm friendliness of the staff to the individuality of the rooms. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend a Casa do Bairro to anybody.
Thank you all for making our stay so special - I'm sure we'll be back!

A recommander...
